Job Description

At Panasonic Australia, we have an opportunity for a high performing National Sales Manager to lead the sales performance of our Toughbook and Point of Sale (POS) product categories and team.

Leading a team of Business Development and Channel Managers, the National Sales Manager will report into the Group Manager, IT Products Business Division. The position aims to strengthen a consistent, professional sales approach by placing particular emphasis on a 'sell through' oriented strategy and ratifying fresh business through strong end-user engagement to exceed sales and profitability of assigned products.

The Role of National Sales Manager:

  • Set strategic sales direction for the team with the support of the GM, IT Products Business Division
  • Develop the professional capabilities of the sales team and foster strong performance by establishing, managing and achieving  personal performance KPI's
  • Identify and develop talent within the sales team – foster an environment for learning, development and coaching for success
  • Build and develop knowledge of all market verticals
  • Identify major end-users and deliver regular health checks
  • Work with sales team and product marketing to identify major new end-user & vertical opportunities and develop individual account plans with specific pipeline activity
  • Relationship building with key customers and work internally to define new product/solution requirements identified by them
  • Strengthen reseller engagement and champion 'Premium Partner Program'
  • Introduce and monitor rigorous pipeline management in line with pipeline management process.
  • Coordinate A&P activity with Product Marketing Managers and marketing to ensure a strong ROI and focus on building pipeline
  • Manage and monitor sales forecast in line with Domain lead times to improve overall accuracy of PSI

Qualifications/ Requirements

  • Equivalent to degree-level business/commerce qualification (preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an equivalent sales leadership role (preferably with technology)
  • Outstanding coaching and leadership skills
  • High level of competence in Microsoft office suite
  • Strong presentation and influencing skills
  • Ability to build and develop effective strategic relationships across complex, multi-dimensional environments
  • Strong understanding of requirements of end users, channel partners and distributors
  • High level of attention to detail

Job Description

This role is responsible for managing the process of Purchases, Sales & Inventory (PSI) Planning, reviewing financial reports, and strongly supporting the annual business planning process to ensure accuracy, and make certain that disciplines are engaged in across the group. Additionally, this role assists CEG executive management with consolidation and reporting to regional headquarters to ensure the CEG team achieves its business targets and objectives.

Some of the key responsibilities of the Marketing Planning Associate will include:

  • Support CEG executive management in preparing monthly company reports and presentations, KPI summaries and provision of analytics when requested;
  • Manage the process of PSI and mid-month forecasting, and consolidate excel reporting;
  • Create excel  templates and report on monthly internal KPIs including financial reports, sales accuracy, P&L, and slow moving stock.
  • Develop strong working knowledge of business planning process and requirements, and assist the Marketing Planning Manager in coordinating and preparing this planning process and reporting; and
  • Participate in project management within the business, such as systems and process development.

Qualifications/ Requirements

  • A business or marketing qualification (essential);
  • Previous experience in business planning and reporting;
  • A very high level of detail and accuracy;
  • Advanced level of competence in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook);
  • Experience with financial reporting including P&L;
  • Advanced level of competence using Business ERP & Business Intelligence Systems including Qlikview is advantageous;
  • A strong interest in developing an understanding of Consumer Electronics products channels, markets and category/marketing strategies as well as cost structures;

    This role is based in Sydney but will require regular travel to Melbourne.

Qualifications/ Requirements

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (Excel); and
  • Experience in demand planning.

  • Proven ability to simplify complex scenarios and then confidently communicate to the target audience;

  • Supporting field operations with all spare parts supply, including taking parts enquires and orders, receipt and dispatch of parts from third party logistics providers;
  • Managing the forecasting of parts to ensure backorders are minimised and ensuring inventory levels meet department needs;
  • Management of multiple warehouses in line with field repair stock objectives;
  • Monitoring factory performance to ensure parts are delivered on time, resolving issues with suppliers as needed.

Qualifications/ Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated previous experience in a Spare Parts Management role, with some exposure to handline service operations;
  • Strong knowledge of forecasting and inventory management principles;
  • Supplier and warehouse partner management;
  • Strong understanding of systems relating to  spare parts, CRM systems, and/or enterprise resource planning.
