Panasonic is looking for a Customer Solutions Specialist to join our Customer Service team in our Macquarie Park office to support internal and external customers, service partners and retailers. 

Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and engaging Customer Solutions Specialist reporting into the Customer Solutions Manager to join this dynamic team.

In this role your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Provide telephone and email support for all customer service escalations
  • Resolve delegated product issues by liaising with internal and external stakeholders acting as the intermediary satisfying customer expectations
  • Provide assistance to retailers, sales representatives and service partners regarding customer escalations, spare parts, Service Partner administration
  • Respond to social media enquiries on behalf of Panasonic regarding customer questions
  • Adhere to Panasonic, Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and Privacy Act requirements and be able to show compliance with the relevant government bodies via email, phone and face to face. 

The ideal candidate will understand the importance of supporting the service and sales process, be a motivated team-player, with strong communication skills effective liaising with customers and internal stakeholders at all levels. Due diligence and keeping within given deadlines will be essential to this role.

Qualifications/ Requirements

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • An excellent telephone manner with strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • The drive and ability to manage customer enquiries to conclusion
  • Excellent attention to detail, be process oriented and have strong administration skills, organisational and time management skills
  • Empathy, patience and the ability to reach win/win outcomes within Panasonic guidelines
  • Experience using CRM systems (ideally Salesforce)
  • Be a motivated team-player with the ability to communicate with staff and customers at all levels ability to work autonomously
  • Ideally worked in compliant process driven organisations like Banking, Finance or Airlines with exposure to working within Australia Consumer Law frameworks
  • Previous experience working with ACL and Social Media business accounts is desirable but not essential

Reporting to the Associate General Manager of Marketing, in this dynamic role you will drive the Product Marketing and Sales Planning to deliver on the business sales, profit and inventory objectives for our Personal Care products by:

  • Managing the Personal Care portfolio within our Consumer Electronics Group;
  • Developing and executing marketing strategies for the category;
  • Diagnosing market trends for these well regarded products;
  • Initiating and securing new marketing channels and increasing Panasonic’s market share in conjunction with internal stakeholders;
  • Management of the category P&L;
  • Accurately controlling the monthly Purchase / Sales/ Inventory;
  • Evaluating the growth for the current range and new products that are available to the Australian market;
  • Developing close communications and planning with the Factory personnel, Internal PAU stakeholders and external customers to undertake effective product lifecycle management.

Qualifications/ Requirements

As the successful candidate, you have:

  • Well-developed strategic and entrepreneurial skills with the ability to build strong relationships, influence stakeholders and produce commercial outcomes.
  • Demonstrated product management and inventory management experience with the ability to manage complex numerical and PSI (Profit, Sales and Inventory) related tasks and applications;
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the Consumer Technology industry, competitive environment and evolving domestic and international trends, future threats and opportunities
  • Demonstrated business development experience and relish the opportunity to open and increase Panasonic’s market share across new channels
  • Strong customer focus with an understanding of customer segmentation and profiling
  • Proven success with product, marketing and sales environments with detailed experience in delivering product offerings and their associated marketing programs within lean timelines.
  • Key understanding of channels to market, competitor offerings and the key differences between Personal Care markets.
  • Ability to forecast issues and industry trends to develop short and long term strategies to position Panasonic’s Personal Care range with a leading market share
  • Degree level tertiary education in marketing, Business management, or an equivalent discipline
  • A passion for Panasonic’s Personal Care products including shaving and grooming, lady beauty care and oral care

In this role, you will present a clear product technology message highlighting the unique selling features and benefits of the Panasonic product range and at the same time build positive business relationships with key stakeholders including in-store retailer sales people, professional photographers, journalists and end consumers.

Some of the key responsibilities of the Product Specialist – Imaging will include:

  • Being the ‘go-to’ person for Imaging product enquiries, internally and with end consumers and Retailers;
  • Present product at media, trade and consumer events to press, trade staff, professional photographers and videographers and end consumers;
  • Account management and target achievement for key Imaging specialist retailers;
  • Expand in-store display presence and build strong relationships with proprietors and floor staff conducting regular in-store product training nationwide;
  • Providing training for Imaging product to internal Channel and State Sales teams;

Qualifications/ Requirements
