In 2010, Panasonic became a partner with Macquarie University to fund environmental research and public education as part of a new Eco programme developed by the university. Part of its commitment to the University’s climate risk research and education over the next three years is the creation of the Panasonic Chair in Environmental Sustainability, headed up by Australian scientist, explorer and conservationist Professor Tim Flannery.

As part of the partnership the biggest Panasonic High Definition LED video screen installation in the world was unveiled on Friday 27 February 2009. The High Definition LED screens are the biggest in Australia, each being over 10 metres high and over 23 metres long.
The new video screens have delivered the best viewing experience possible for the fans at ANZ Stadium. The screens are large enough to enable live coverage of the game to be displayed at the same time as player statistics, scores, sponsored messages and venue information. For ANZ Stadium fans this means uninterrupted viewing of the game.
