The IP standards test is administered by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and is designed to gauge the level of protection each product offers against dust and water when subjected to thorough examination. The rating of IP56 qualifies Panasonic Tough Tool IP products for the minimum impact of water or dust^*1.

Dual voltage for better versatility

The Panasonic EY45A1X57 offers dual voltage technology for powerful performance with either a 14.4V or 18V battery. A special dual voltage circuit detects the voltage of the attached battery pack and controls the current and voltage flows to the tool to ensure optimum performance. With a 14.4V battery pack it's easier to use for longer periods with lightweight compactness, and with an 18V battery pack application speed and working capacity are increased.

High quality, easy replacement blades

The Panasonic EY45A1X57 14.4V/18V cordless reciprocating saw comes with a high quality bi-metal 150mm blade (14 teeth per inch, cutting range 70mm) and a carbon tool steels wood blade (5 teeth per inch, cutting range 150mm) as standard. A keyless blade clamping system means blades can be secured in place by simply pushing them into the saw. Blades are also easy to remove by simply turning the holder collar.
