Medical Combat Communications for Casualty Care (MC4)
The U.S. Army required a portable, durable computer solution that could receive, store, process and securely transmit medical records and other data, even in the harshest battle environments. Medical Communications for Combat Casualty Care (MC4) chose the durable and reliable Panasonic Toughbook semi-rugged line of mobile medical computers because of its detailed graphics capabilities, expanded memory and hard drive, plus an integrated CAC reader for secure transmissions. MC4 currently utilizes more than 12,000 Toughbook computers.
The MC4 system consists of mobile computers, networking and peripheral equipment and has the capability to receive, store, process, transmit, archive and report to medical command and control. The mobile medic system must be portable and durable since it supports field medics deployed in harsh environmental conditions while ensuring soldiers have the care they need on the battlefield.
The fit for MC4? The durable and reliable Panasonic Toughbook semi-rugged product suite, enhanced Tobyhanna SWA with standard warranty and spares kit services. Performance features include increased video graphics, expanded memory and hard drive, plus an integrated CAC reader for security. MC4 selected and continues to select Panasonic Toughbook semi-rugged mobile PCs as their field medic tool, currently with an install base of 12,000 units.
