Montgomery County Hospital District (MCHD), located outside of Houston, provides EMS and pre-hospital care services to a growing population of approximately 325,000 residents. To keep pace with the population growth, the organization realized that it needed an overhaul of its time-consuming, paper-based processes, which resulted in missing/inaccurate information and billing delays that compromised patient care and regulatory compliance. Using a staged approach, MCHD implemented ZOLL Data System's RescueNet suite of integrated data management products for EMS and armed their 150 field employees with rugged Panasonic Toughbook laptops and in-vehicle mobile data communications devices. This solution improved clinical documentation, accuracy and efficiency of service, and enabled regulatory compliance.
