The "Renaissance Project" at the Toledo Hospital and Toledo Children's Hospital was the largest and most ambitious construction venture in the history of ProMedica Health System, a northwest Ohio not-for-profit health care organization that operates the facilities. With Phase Two opening in January 2008, the hospitals' resulting 10-level, 500,000- square-foot facility has redefined what it means to provide a patient and visitor-friendly environment. It also enables health care professionals to provide the highest level of patient care.
