Panasonic's solution for mobile video capture revolutionizes the way video evidence is collected, stored and transferred. The solid-state Toughbook® Arbitrator digital video recording system eliminates the need for videotapes. It performs exceptionally well even in harsh environments, including extreme temperatures and high vibration levels.
Managing the Chain of Evidence Solution
In recent years, many law enforcement agencies deployed mobile video solutions in patrol cars to capture important evidence. However, accessing, transferring, and storing taped evidence consumed too much time, space, and resources.
Panasonic's Toughbook® Arbitrator digital video recording system is engineered specifically to streamline the process of evidence capture and documentation. It is the industry's first all-digital, solid-state video system with an integrated high-performance camera, microphone and video recorder, which are designed to perform exceptionally well in harsh environments. The Arbitrator uses state of the art compression for easy storage and fast wireless transmission of full-motion video files to a central server. The captured video and audio files can be searched by date, time, vehicle, incident, trigger, event or other criteria, completely eliminating the need for videotapes and storage space. At the same time, Toughbook Arbitrator creates an audit trail of all activity in the case, ensuring complete reliability when presented as evidence.
