Which products can resellers sell?
Resellers can purchase the full-line of Panasonic Toughbook mobile computers1 through an authorized distributor without authorization from or commitment to Panasonic.
1 Except vehicle-mounted rugged products, Toughbook Arbitrator and Toughbook PDRC, which require special authorization.
What is Panasonic’s policy regarding special pricing on Toughbook products and services?

How is special pricing for Bids, RFQs and RFPs handled?

What is the standard warranty for Toughbook products?

A 3-year limited warranty, including parts and labor, is standard for all Panasonic Toughbook laptop computers.

A 1-year limited warranty, including parts and labor, is standard for the Toughbook Arbitrator.

An extended warranty can be purchased for Toughbook mobile computers.

  • One Year Extension (Year 4)

  • Two Year Extension (Year 4 & 5)

How are units that are non-operational or Dead on Arrival (DOA) handled?
There are several steps involved in handling DOA products.
  • Customer should contact Panasonic Toughbook Technical Support at 1-800-LAPTOP5 (1-800-527-8675) within 30 days of the product purchase date.
  • During the call, Technical Support technicians will troubleshoot to verify that the unit has a warranty defect in material or workmanship.
  • Once a defect has been determined, a diagnostic number will be provided to the customer.
  • Customer should provide the diagnostic number to the reseller that the unit was purchased from.
  • After being provided with the diagnostic number, the reseller will provide the customer with a
    replacement unit – either the same or a similar model.
  • Using the diagnostic number, the reseller should contact the distributor that the unit was
    purchased from to return the defective unit for credit against a new unit order.
  • The distributor will contact Panasonic to return the unit to Panasonic's returns warehouse
    for credit, using the original diagnostic number.
Can a product be returned after a customer has opened it?
Toughbook product sales are final except for items covered by the warranty.
What is the Protection Plus Warranty?
Panasonic Toughbook Protection Plus Warranty adds coverage for damage from harsh environmental
conditions, accidental drops, and other unintentional mishaps. The warranty covers all system
components, including the LCD, for up to five years from the date of purchase.
How can the shipping status for product orders be checked?
Contact the distributor where the order was placed.
What is the standard waiting time to receive custom configured laptops?
Custom, individual configurations are built by special order only, and are non-returnable. Lead-time
for special orders is 90 days (on average) from time of order.
