TP3 Program Information

Panasonic's Toughbook® Premier Partner Program (TP3) is reserved for resellers who meet the agreed upon sales and customer support commitments for Toughbook mobile computers. In addition to being able to sell business-rugged and semi-rugged Toughbook products, TP3 partners are exclusively approved to sell Toughbook fully-rugged mobile computers.

Business Requirements For Program Consideration*:

All TP3 partners should serve customers in a professional manner and show success in their Panasonic Toughbook sales. That said, we require that prospective partners have:
  • An account with at least one of Panasonic’s approved national distributors
  • A working, professional web presence with a company-specific registered URL and corporate email addresses. Submissions with email addresses using generic email domains (e.g. yahoo.com; comcast.net) are insufficient
  • A physical business address. Post office boxes are insufficient
  • Experience with notebook computers and/or handheld devices and sufficient sales personnel and overall scale to achieve TP3 Minimum Sales Requirements
PARTNERSHIP COMMITMENT Panasonic expects TP3 solution providers to succeed in the program. For this reason, Panasonic requires each partner to commit to the program and minimum sales requirements.

Program Requirements for fully-rugged and ultra-mobile-rugged products†
  • Designate a Panasonic Champion—someone willing to act as a point of contact committed to driving the Panasonic message through the authorized company's organization
  • Implement a business plan approved by a Panasonic District Sales Manager
  • Complete the Panasonic Quarterly Sales Training (including online training, Webinars, etc.)
  • Create and deliver point-of-sale reports for Panasonic sales upon request
  • Sell Panasonic Toughbooks to end-users only
  • Purchase a Panasonic Toughbook demo unit within the first 30 days of becoming authorized
Additional Requirements for Ultra-mobile-rugged Products
  • Panasonic Champion must pass product and sales training quizzes for the Toughbook U1.
  • Maintain at least one demo unit, purchased by the solution provider, in inventory at all times
Minimum Sales Requirements To remain a member of the Panasonic TP3 program, partners must sell a minimum of 150 units during the Panasonic fiscal year (April to March). The breakdown of how units are counted is as follows:

  Units Earned
Product Category Without Embedded WWAN With Embedded WWAN
Fully-rugged 1 1.2
Semi-rugged 1 1.2
Business-rugged 1 1.2
Ultra-mobile-rugged 1 1.2
Vehicle-mounted-rugged** 2 N/A
Toughbook Services     0.2

Accessory sales do not count toward annual goal.

**For Toughbook Arbitrator (vehicle-mounted-rugged category), only the main unit product sales are counted toward the annual goal.

* Meeting the applicant requirements does not guarantee acceptance into the Panasonic Toughbook Premier Partner (TP3) Program.

Current TP3s seeking authorization to sell another product category must do so through the TP3 website.

† Failure to meet any of the requirements will result in immediate de-authorization. Panasonic reserves the right to modify the program requirements or terminate the program at any time. An application must be submitted and approved for each product category the reseller wishes to vend. Acceptance into the fully-rugged program does not guarantee acceptance into the ultra-mobile-rugged program. No authorization is required to sell Business-Rugged or Semi-rugged Panasonic Toughbook laptops.

By submitting an application for membership in the TP3 Program, applicants acknowledge that they have read the program guidelines and agree to
abide by them.
