The Panasonic Twin Guard® Series ultra-low freezers are designed for -86°C storage of high-value biologicals. Ideal for critical material storage in repositories, highly secure BSL4 labs, hospitals, clinics and medical research facilities.
Twin Guard® Series freezers house a second, independent compressor system. The two compressors work together in normal mode, but if one fails the other can maintain ultra-low temperatures for an extended period of time.
Traditional ultra-low freezers rely on a single compressor system.
If this system fails, the freezer and your samples are out of luck. LN2 or CO2 backups only sustain temperatures for approximately 7 hours, and require routine re-filling.
Energy Saving EcoMode
Twin Guard® Series Freezers feature an innovative EcoMode operation setting. Recommended for 90-95% of applications, EcoMode utilizes the unique 2 compressor setup of the freezer to operate more efficiently. Overlapping run cycles reduce energy consumption by as much as 15% while maintaining superior temperature uniformity.
