Jim Doyle - President
Jim Doyle serves as President of Panasonic Eco Soultions North America (PESNA), a division of Panasonic Corporation of North America. The Company provides comprehensive solutions directly to clients in two major areas: Eco Solutions, comprised of commercial-scale solar and energy efficiency systems and Audio-Visual (A/V) Solutions, comprised of large-scale audio-visual solutions for major sports and entertainment clients.
Jim is charged with rapidly growing both the Eco and AV solutions businesses by leveraging the strengths of Panasonic and its valued partners to deliver ongoing value for its clients. He has led the company since January 2010.
Prior to joining Panasonic, Jim spent 13 years with IBM where his most recent assignment was as lead Partner for solution sales in the Americas for Electronics industry clients. In this role, he brought together a broad portfolio of IBM’s capabilities to solve complex business problems for some of the industry’s largest companies.
Prior to his solutions leadership role at IBM, Jim held a number of positions with increasing management responsibility across the company including consulting, business strategy, and IT operations.
He began his career as an artillery officer in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Jim holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Science from Syracuse University. He currently resides in Connecticut with his wife and two children.
Dan Silver - Vice President, Operations, Marketing, and Electrical Components Group Sales
Dan’s current assignment is Vice President in charge of Operations, Marketing, and Electrical Components Group Sales within Panasonic Eco Solutions North America (PESNA).
Prior to PESNA, Dan was President of Panasonic Home and Health Company. In this role, he oversaw $200+M in business, and handled products including ventilation systems, small appliances, and shavers. He was promoted to this role after serving as the Director of the Home Appliance Group for one year.
Dan has been with Panasonic for 28 years, originally hired into a trainee program requiring fluency in Japanese. His tenure has been noted for a focus on relationship marketing. Under his leadership Panasonic formed key relationships with Good Housekeeping, attaining the prestigious Seal of Approval for over 100 Home Appliances and Personal Care products. He also initiated a relationship with The Culinary Institute of America, whose Certified Master Chefs developed recipes exclusively for Panasonic’s Inverter Microwaves. Dan also worked for 5 years in Panasonic’s California office in the Automotive Sectors.
Dan grew up in Amherst Massachusetts, and attended Amherst College, graduating with a Political Science degree in 1982. Prior to coming to Panasonic, he also earned a Master’s degree from John’s Hopkins in International Relations, and lived in Kyoto Japan for a year teaching English at Doshisha University.
Dan is a resident of West Caldwell, NJ. He is married with two teenage sons. He enjoys singing, tennis, and throwing balls in the woods for his dog, Petey.
Fumitake Wantabe - Vice President
Fumitaka is currently the Vice President of Panasonic Eco Solutions North America, and is responsible for the corporate planning of profitability and operations for PESNA’s business units. Fumitaka also serves as PESNA’s primary management liaison, coordinating strategic direction and management policy between Panasonic’s global headquarters in Osaka, Japan and Panasonic North America’s headquarters in Newark, NJ.
Fumitaka was promoted to his current role in 2012, after spending 30 years with Panasonic Electric Works. During his time at PEWA, he was responsible for managing a variety of corporate level business planning projects for the Automation Controls group in Japan, Germany, and the United States. From developing pricing strategies to coordinating international marketing efforts and overseas business operations, Fumitaka’s wide-ranging contributions facilitated PEWA’s ascent to an industry leading position in the Automation Controls sector.
Fumitaka graduated with a degree in English Culture & Trade from the Kobe City University of Foreign Studies in 1981. He now lives in Secaucus, NJ.
Jamie Evans - Managing Director and Head of U.S. Eco Solutions
Jamie Evans is Managing Director and Head of U.S. Eco Solutions for Panasonic Eco Solutions North America (PESNA), a unit company of Panasonic North America with the mission to bring comprehensive clean technology and energy efficiency solutions to leading organizations.
Mr. Evans is charged with managing all aspects of Panasonic’s expanding U.S. eco solutions platform. He joined Panasonic in August 2011 and previously served as Director of Project Finance.
Prior to joining Panasonic, Mr. Evans served as Vice President of Finance at Safari Energy where he was part of a team that developed and financed multiple commercial scale solar projects. Mr. Evans has over a decade of banking, finance and capital markets experience, having worked previously at UBS, Oliver Wyman, and BlackRock.
Mr. Evans holds a BA in Environmental Science and Economics from Duke University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. He resides with his family in New York City.
Koshi currently serves as the Vice President of Panasonic Eco Solutions Group within Panasonic Eco Solutions North America. In this role, he heads the Panasonic Solar Eco Solutions team, which incorporates both eco solutions delivery and solar product management. Under Koshi’s direction, the Panasonic Eco Solutions Group offers end-to-end project management capabilities, providing the development, planning & engineering, implementation, financing, and system maintenance of differentiated solar solutions to a wide range of industries across North America.
In 2010, Koshi was appointed President of Panasonic Eco Solutions Canada following Panasonic’s acquisition of SANYO. Prior to joining Panasonic, Koshi spent 25 years with SANYO, working on a wide range of projects in both Japan and Canada. Before heading SANYO’s Canadian division, Koshi served as the President of SANYO Electric’s Mobile Energy Division in Osaka, Japan, guiding the Consumer Battery Products Business Unit to exceptional international sales performance. Under his leadership in this role, SANYO developed groundbreaking rechargeable batteries that revolutionized the industry both on a domestic and international level.
Koshi grew up and attended school in Japan, earning an Economics degree from Osaka City University. Koshi currently lives in Cupertino, CA.
Walter Buzzelli is the Managing Director at Panasonic Eco Solutions Canada Inc., formerly Sanyo Canada Inc., and has been with the company since January 2000.
The company is a leader in deploying smart energy solutions in Canada. Walter brings extensive management experience to this role that he assumed in April 2012 and he oversees the company’s sales, marketing and operational activities. He has been involved in Panasonic’s Canadian solar business operations since inception in 2005 and he continues to grow the company’s solar business portfolio in Canada.
More recently, he has successfully negotiated a strategic partnership agreement with a key solar developer in the Canadian market that has enabled Panasonic to secure a sizeable pipeline of commercial rooftop projects. Prior to his current role, Walter was the SVP of Finance and Administration for Sanyo Canada where he was responsible for the company’s financial and operational business activities. Walter also has extensive manufacturing business experience that was acquired with organizations prior to joining Sanyo.
By profession, Walter is a Certified Management Accountant in good standing with the Society of Management Accountants of Ontario and he also possesses a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Ryerson University.
When away from work, Walter’s passions include travel, dabbling in auto mechanics, following Formula One auto racing and spending a great deal of time with family.
