LCD Panel with Micro Lens Array (MLA)

An LCD panel mounted with micro lenses that enable the effective convergence of lamp light.

UHM (Ultra High Performance Lamp of Matsushita) Lamp

A lamp that uses high-pressure mercury. Other lamps commonly used in projectors include xenon lamps, metahalide lamps and halogen lamps.

Projector lamps are given unique names by their manufacturers, such as UHB (Ultra High Brightness), UHP (Ultra High Performance) and NSH (New Super High Pressure).

Optical Power: ANSI Lumens

A unit of measurement expressing the average brightness of light projected by a projector.

The ANSI lumens value is the average value of brightness measurements obtained by dividing the screen into nine blocks, then measuring the brightness at the center of each block.

ANSI: American National Standards Institute

Contrast Ratio

There are two methods of indicating contrast ratio: "full on/off contrast ratio" and "ANSI contrast ratio." The full on/off contrast ratio is commonly used in product catalogs.

The full on/off contrast ratio is a ratio of the brightness between a full-screen white image and a full-screen black image.

The ANSI contrast ratio is a ratio of brightness between white sections and black sections in a projected nine-block black & white checker pattern.
