 PANASONIC EXTENDS AG-DVX100A/MAGIC BULLET PROMOTION THROUGH MARCH 31, 2005
Magic Bullet Editors Software Free with AG-DVX100A Purchase in U.S.
SECAUCUS, NJ (October 25, 2004) – Panasonic Broadcast has announced an extension through March 2005 of its current promotion offering Red Giant’s Magic Bullet Editors TM software free with the purchase of the AG-DVX100A Mini-DV 3-CCD camcorder.
Magic Bullet Editors, a software plug-in for Adobe Premiere Pro, Apple Final Cut Pro, Avid Xpress Pro, and Sony Vegas, includes dozens of Movie Looks presets for applying Hollywood-style finishes to digital video projects—adding dramatic moods easily and affordably.
“Since its debut last summer, the AG-DVX100A and Magic Bullets Editors combination has been highly attractive to customers,” said Jan Crittenden, Product Line Business Manager, DVPRO50/DVCPRO products, Panasonic Broadcast. “ Magic Bullet Editors ideally complements the DVX100A’s biggest asset, which is putting a genuinely filmic look within the reach of aspiring cinematographers.”
Inspired by popular productions, such as The Matrix, Saving Private Ryan, Traffic, and Amelié, Magic Bullet Editor’s 55 custom-designed Looks alter shading, contrast, and tints of scenes to mimic the elusive look of 35mm film. Users can choose to use preset Looks from a pop-up menu or customize their own film treatments, which they can save in the Library feature. The software also includes the film damage creation tool, called Misfire, which accurately recreates characteristics of old film, including grain, splotches, and scratches.
Magic Bullet Editor’ professional-level effects were developed by Stuart Maschwitz at The Orphanage, whose extensive filmmaking career includes many years at Industrial Light + Magic.
Under the terms of the promotion, Magic Bullet Editors is included free with a Panasonic AG-DVX100A camcorder purchase in the United States from Panasonic Authorized Dealers and Resellers.
