These cameras not only feature advanced video features, but also integrate a number of engineering and design features as well as special materials to allow the cameras to continue operating even after treatment shocks and impacts that would disable a conventional camera.

Panasonic's Vandal-Proof standards
Panasonic has developed its own rigorous tests that our cameras must pass before being designated 'vandal-proof' in our line.
After subjecting the camera to a force of 100 foot points (by dropping a 15-pound ball on it from a height of 2 meters), the unit must show:
 No effect on overall video quality
No visible safety issues
No visible cracks in the dome
No impairment of movable parts
Easy manual restoration of aim and focus, if affected.
Rugged materials and design features
Depending on the particular camera model, the vandal-proof design can incorporate a number of features such as:
Die-cast aluminum body to resist cracking, denting,
or deforming upon impact
High-impact polycarbonate dome (3.5mm thick)
A shock-resistant spring-based mount for the camera lens unit
Flush or surface mount configurations
Color, and day/night capabilities
Hybrid cameras for connection to coaxial or IP-based networks
IP66 Wind/Rain standards
Selected models also meet international IP66 standards for dust and moisture resistance, allowing you to install the cameras under building eaves or in other environments subject to wind and rain.
