School of the Future, a high school in northwest Philadelphia, is home to a vast array of technology-driven solutions, sponsored by Microsoft Corporation and including Panasonic solutions for education.
The project was started in the summer of 2006 and completed by December 2006. Featuring 42 classrooms that are each equipped with Panasonic projectors, DVD players, Audio Enhancement microphones and speakers and custom interfaces for teacher control of the devices. | |

Digital signage can also be found in common areas with the use of plasmas, a rear projection setup in the main conference room, and NMstage content management software to control the networked displays.

click for full image | | The school auditorium includes a Panasonic projector and broadcast cameras for capturing performances, as well as Panasonic editing equipment for teaching the students the art of post-production.
For sporting events, the gymnasium features Panasonic’s Gymcast, which includes four 42” plasmas configured into a large screen to be used for replays and crowd cheer-leading, SportCoach, a video sports program for improving individual player and team performance, software for easily posting team stats to the school website, and a fully equipped control room with Toughbook laptops for management of the screens and scoreboard.
