SITE
The new West Bay expansion project adds 8.7 miles of new track and four new stations, including a station located inside the new international airport terminal, to the existing 95 mile, 39 station BART system.

SCOPE
The project incorporates the design, engineering and installation of public address (PA) and CCTV systems at four new BART stations in one of the world's most advanced public transportation systems; initial PA system at San Francisco International Airport (SFIA); CCTV and PA control at BART Central and BART PA interface to the SFIA PA system.

CHALLENGE
System design for public address and security function in a major municipal project required an understanding of public access issues and the ability to work within an extended review process.
