SBC Park
San Francisco Giants Stadium
SITE
Seamlessly
integrating historic architectural charm and state-of-the-art
technology, Pacific Bell Park has earned a reputation
as the crown jewel among Major League baseball stadiums.
The new Giants baseball home has been hailed by San Francisco
Mayor Willie Brown as an "instant civic treasure"
and is generally considered among the most picturesque
and enjoyable sports entertainment venues worldwide.
SCOPE
This high-profile project includes the design and installation
of an extensive CCTV security system, a broadcast production
room, the main large screen video display and video monitors
in public areas and luxury suites. Panasonic engineers
also work closely with the Giants to design and implement
a revolutionary IntraNet coaching system capable of capturing,
organizing and recalling full-motion digital video of
each pitch from multiple angles.
A subsequent project includes the design and installation
of the Panasonic Baycam at Pac Bell Park to provide high-resolution
images from high atop the ballparks Northeast Light
Standard for traditional video and Internet broadcast
applications.
