Project Manager Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Solution
The mission of the Unmanned Aircraft Systems Project Office is to provide complete lifecycle management of the U.S. Army's Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) program. This system locates, recognizes and identifies targets and sends that information back to ground personnel. The U.S. Army needed a laptop solution with both the physical endurance and wireless reliability to handle the challenge.
The fully rugged line of Toughbook mobile laptops provides tactical commanders with near-real-time, highly accurate reconnaissance, surveillance and target acquisition. With more than 3,000 Toughbook units in use, this mission is also growing to include additional components such as weaponization, communications relay, specialty payloads, small, unmanned aircraft systems, and the linkage to manned aircraft.
