Air Force Base Security Forces Solution
Policing Air Force bases, including one of the largest fighter bases in the Air Combat Command (3,100 acres), requires a solution that keeps security personnel in constant contact with each other to assure security is not compromised. The solution also needs to provide the ability to effectively capture, store and manage video evidence across this large territory in all weather conditions.
The Air Force relies on Panasonic Toughbook mobile computers and Toughbook Arbitrator mobile digital video systems in their patrol vehicles to help keep their bases secure. In addition, Toughbook Arbitrator digital video systems are installed at the bases' entry gates to monitor people entering and leaving the premises at all times. Toughbook computers with scanners are also used at the gates to read the Department of Defense Common Access Card [CAC] identification cards of visitors and personnel entering the bases. With its daylight-readable screen, all-weather, rugged design and compact form factor, Toughbook mobile computers are ideal for greeting visitors at their vehicles and running security checks in real time.
