Reliable solid-state digital technology has vastly improved the way video evidence is captured and processed. It eliminates the need for video tapes, and enables evidence of events to be reliably captured, stored, and digitally transferred. Additionally, solid-state digital video systems perform exceptionally well in harsh environments, including those with high vibration, or extreme hot and cold temperatures.
The Toughbook® Arbitrator digital video recording system incorporates a high-performance camera with a wide angle lens a wireless microphone to accurately record events as they occur. Footage is captured on rugged, solid state Panasonic P2 cards with the option to wirelessly transfer data to the station using a Panasonic Toughbook mobile computer or any other vehicle-mounted PC. Arbitrator's custom software generates an audit report of anyone who views or copies the video. This feature, combined with a wide angle camera lens, zoom range and infrared capabilities make it the ideal witness when video evidence is presented in court or other critical situations that require accurate video documentation.
