The Panasonic Data Destruction Service gives organizations the power to permanently destroy data on their Toughbook® laptops whenever it is necessary – such as at the end of a laptop’s lifecycle when it will be traded-in, donated or recycled. Because Toughbook mobile computers typically last longer than their warranty, it is common for organizations to rely on this service as they manage the lifecycle of their Toughbook deployment. Organizations are also able to have data permanently removed from a hard drive that cannot be repaired when the unit is shipped to Panasonic’s National Service Center.
The user initiates this service by calling Panasonic Technical Support at 1-800-LAPTOP5. A Panasonic T-Force team member works with the user to coordinate the shipment of the laptop. There are no shipping charges to the National Service Center within the United States for all warranty Toughbook computers covered by this service.
With today’s data security concerns, this service offers data removal capabilities that meet United States Department of Defense (DOD) standards.
