Panasonic reviews, stores and loads the organization's disk image onto all Toughbook units in the deployment. Because many organizations have multiple internal teams, Panasonic will manage up to three different disk images, so that each team can have its own specialized image. As a standard part of the deployment process, Panasonic creates and applies customer-specific asset tags, and provides a deployment report detailing the organization's assets. Once the integration process is complete, Panasonic delivers all units directly to the individual users or to a central staging location. All shipping within the United States is at no charge.

The two features that are unique to the Gold Package are Asset Management and Hot Swap Management. As part of the initial deployment for Asset Management, Panasonic enters the user name, asset number, model, serial number, warranty date and configuration information for each unit into a shared database. Every service call to Panasonic Technical Support is also logged into the shared database. Administrators can review the database for information on any of the organization's assets using a password-protected website. They can also use the website to generate reports, charts and graphs, and set up alerts.

The Hot Swap Service allows a user to remove the hard drive from a non-functioning laptop and insert it into a replacement unit. This means virtually no downtime and no hassle. To report an issue with a unit, the user contacts Panasonic Technical Support. When necessary, a replacement Toughbook can be shipped for next business day delivery at no charge.
