The Toughpad FZ-X1 boasts the world's longest battery life for a handheld tablet, with 14 hours of continuous data access. The battery quickly charges to 50% in just one hour, and can be hot-swappable. Also features FIPS 140-2 Level 1 compliant security. The Toughpad FZ-X1 delivers noise-canceling, superior voice quality even in loud environments. It features a large dedicated button for push-to-talk and a maximum audio volume of 100dBA. Customized options include integrated barcode reader, mag stripe reader and certified ANSI 12.12.01 for hazardous locations. For a product to be classified as Toughbook Certified, it must pass rigorous testing set by Panasonic to ensure it meets the demanding performance standards inherent in the Toughbook brand. Each product receives a level of testing equivalent to its corresponding Toughbook computer, which includes safety and regulatory certifications.

Products that are not Panasonic or Toughbook Certified, are Toughbook Compatible. A Toughbook Compatible product has been tested by Panasonic to meet minimum functionality requirements.
