For a product to be classified as Toughbook Certified, it must pass rigorous testing set by Panasonic to ensure it meets the demanding performance standards inherent in the Toughbook brand. Each product receives a level of testing equivalent to its corresponding Toughbook computer, which includes safety and regulatory certifications.

Products that are not Panasonic or Toughbook Certified, are Toughbook Compatible. A Toughbook Compatible product has been tested by Panasonic to meet minimum functionality requirements.
