Hereby we inform you that due to a unilateral decision of Facebook, in which neither Panasonic Latin America SA, nor its affiliates, subsidiaries, directors and / or employees have responsibility, from September 15th 2015 the Facebook application will no longer be available in our product categories such as: BD players and Home Theater Systems, PDP, LCD / LED televisions. Attached is the list of affected models.
The Facebook application will no longer be available in the models described due to a change of the usage rule for the API V2.0 (Application Program Interface) which is the interface used in the Facebook application for our audio and video products.
Facebook changed their rule so that information of users friends is basically not shared via their data feed. With these new restrictions, the application cannot be supported due to the loss of its most compelling features, this is, to show and share user´s friend information on the units. This change was a unilateral decision of Facebook.
If you can connect a compatible electronic device (computer, laptop, tablet, smartphone) or any other device that includes the Facebook application to the affected models you can view the Facebook application on these models.
The user’s manual of the affected models states: The services of “Network Service” are made through the respective suppliers and service may be discontinued either temporarily or permanently without notice. Therefore, Panasonic does not warrant the content or the continuity of its services.

Currently, a warning message is displayed on the Facebook application on the interface of "Network Services" and / or "Smart TV Apps Market" of the affected models informing the customer that the application is being updated. As of September 15th, 2015 a message informing the customer that the Facebook application on the device is no longer available will be displayed. As of October 15th, 2015 both Facebook application and the message displayed will be removed.
