Corporate social responsibility continues to be an integral part of our company. Today, Panasonic continues to direct considerable corporate resources to not-for-profit organizations that meet our program criteria in the primary focus categories of education and community relations/social welfare. Particular emphasis is placed on our signature programs such as Panasonic Kid Witness News, Panasonic National School Change Awards, and the Panasonic Creative Design Challenge. Our corporate outreach seeks partnerships that can be linked to our overall business goals and objectives.
In addition, I would like to personally thank and commend our Panasonic employees who have given countless hours towards our corporate outreach activities. The numerous employee volunteers whose personal commitment and dedication to our programs is one of the most significant and visible contributions we offer to any worthy cause.
Most recently, Panasonic's Corporate Outreach Programs Department launched their new brand name - LIFT (Let's Invest in the Future Together). As we move forward in our philanthropic efforts, I encourage all employees to get involved with the various activities that will take place throughout the year. Whether you donate personal funds for cancer awareness and the American Heart Association "Go Red Day" or volunteer your time in one of our signature programs, we can all play a part in making a difference.
