Eco Design
An example of how we apply environmental ideas to our products is the award-winning SV-AV50 D-snap SD video camera. Recognized at CES 2005 for "Best of Innovations" in Eco Design, its flip-and-twist LCD protects the environment through reduced energy and resource consumption as well as high recyclability, while meeting the world's most stringent chemical use restrictions.
Energy Saving Ideas
Panasonic manufactures over 400 products that have earned the U.S. government's ENERGY STAR label. From Plasma TVs to home networking systems, these products use significantly less energy than other conventional models, without compromising product performance or reliability.
The ENERGY STAR program, a partnership of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Department of Energy, and leading technology manufacturers, aims to preserve the environment through a voluntary, industry-wide effort by developing energy-saving products for the home and office. Panasonic has received ENERGY STAR award recognition for the past six consecutive years.
