Everyone involved in electronic music knows the name. Any DJ worth his weight knows that 1200 is more than just a number.

Most any event attended by DJs, producers and musicians will have some connection to Technics and REMIX Hotel SF was no exception. Billed as a three days of all things music technology, the event was a meeting of the minds for the most hardcore electronic music junkies. Of course, Technics was there for all the action as the title sponsor of the Halloween weekend event.

The W Hotel located in the heart of San Francisco provided the perfect home for the three days of classes, clinics and workshops.

It wasn't all hard work, though. Anytime someone needed a break they could kick back in the Technics lounge and learn about, listen to or even take a spin on the SL-DZ1200 digital turntables. Some 2,500 people took the opportunity to relax with Technics and came by to give the digital decks a try, or just watched as DJs demoed some of the cool new features.

After three "tough" days, attendees were invited to kick back with Technics on the roof deck of The W for a closing party with world-renowned DJ Paul Oakenfold. That Saturday night, Oakenfold headlined as partygoers reveled in the crisp San Francisco evening air.

It was hard not to enjoy the evening. Between the atmosphere, the ambiance and most importantly the music, Technics Night was a great end to three days of electronic music immersion and everyone left wanting more.
