Research and Development departments work to develop new products
never before imagined. R&D work on new batteries has the potential
to change the world as we know it.
Matsushita Battery Industrial is working to integrate product and
production technology in order to meet the demands of consumers
and manufacturers as rapidly as possible.
The focus of our R&D program is broad, embracing battery materials,
fabricating techniques and processes, and battery structure. The
design process employs advanced simulation technology to develop
new battery products offering high capacity and superior performance.
The latest analysis equipment and techniques are used to ensure
the highest possible level of safety. Finally, new materials with
minimal environmental impact are used when possible at all stages,
from the beginning of development onward.

Our mission is to supply our customers with batteries that meet
their requirements in a timely manner. To achieve this goal, Matsushita
Battery Industrial has put in place a production system that is
both flexible and highly efficient.
The most advanced manufacturing equipment available allows us to
quickly meet a wide variety of requirements.
In addition, a design investigation system employing statistical
methodology helps ensure the highest level of product quality and
reliability from the development stage onward. Then, in the mass
production stage, products are monitored by an exacting quality
control system incorporating the manufacturing expertise we have
built up over many years. Our Production
Personnel Training Center, where employees undergo thorough training
in preparation for their work on the production line, reflects our
belief that top quality products can only be created by first-rate
people.
