Panasonic's Switch panels, also known as tactile sheets, consist of domed diaphragms fixed by tape on a base film. Switch Panels function as mini switches which are laminated on a printed circuit board. Panasonic Switch Panels are often used by cell phones and PDAs to detect finger strokes on the keypad. Panasonic switch panels use a unique diaphragm design to provide high contact reliability. Other advantageous features include a ventilating mechanism, silver-treated metal dome, protective film and plastic film carrier tape.
