The Kid Witness News (KWN) Programme

The Kid Witness News (KWN) Programme

Kid Witness News (KWN) is a global video education program supported by Panasonic, with the aim of boosting creativity and communication skills and fostering teamwork through video production by children at the elementary and secondary school levels.

Students are invited to create and develop an idea for a short documentary film based on one of two themes:

  • Theme 1: Communication
  • Theme 2: The Environment

Initial entries are submitted on storyboards, with the top 5 storyboards selected to progress to the next stage of the programme. These 5 schools will be awarded the latest Panasonic camera equipment in order to develop their idea into a 5 minute DVD,  along with coaching and assistance from an industry professional. Schools that are not selected can still submit their video entry using their own equipment.
