"Like it to WIN it!" Consumer Promotion
COMPETITION RULES

 

• These rules were last amended: [23 June 2015]
• These rules apply to the Panasonic "Like it to WIN it!" Promotion ("the competition").
• This competition is being run by: Panasonic Marketing Middle East & Africa FZE Incorporated (Incorporated in Dubai) External Profit Company, thereafter referred to as "Panasonic" with company registration number: 2013/155635/10.
• Please contact us on (011) 312 7015 (weekdays during office hours 08h00 – 17h00) if you do not understand any part of these rules or if you have any questions about these rules or the competition.
• By entering the competition, all Participants confirm that they have read and agree to be legally bound by these rules.

1. When Does the Competition Start and End?
• The competition period runs from 09h00 on 25 June 2015 until 12h00 on 6 August 2015 ("closing date").
• Panasonic reserves the right to extend the duration of the competition, subject to these terms and conditions.
• The competition will be held over 5 weeks.
• Prizes will be awarded by Panasonic at the end of each week and the winners will be published on Facebook.

 

2. Who may enter the competition? (Who qualifies for entry into the draw?)

• All persons, including South African Citizens and Foreign Nationals may enter the competition.
• To enter the competition you must:
   a) Agree to have your photograph taken in store at your favourite Panasonic product.
   b) Provide your name, the first letter of your surname, and your cellphone number.
   c) Give permission for your image to be uploaded to the Panasonic Facebook page in accordance with the required steps of the competition.
   d) Have a valid TV license (if entering for a TV).
   e) Have a South African residential address.
   f) Be 18 years or older.


3. Who May Not Enter the Competition?

• The following persons may not take part in this competition even if they qualify to enter. They will forfeit (give up) any prizes awarded to them:

a) Panasonic employees i.e. director(s), member(s), partner(s), employee(s), agencies(s), or consultant(s) relating to this competition.
b) Any supplier of goods and services in connection with this competition.
c) The spouse, life partner, siblings, children, or parents of any of the persons named above.
d) Legal Entities.


4. How to Enter?

• Visit Panasonic's Facebook page at www.facebook.com/PanasonicSouthAfrica or www.panasonic.com/za/ to read how to enter.
• Entries must be sent in the correct format with all required fields completed.


5. Can I enter more than once?

• Participants may enter as many times as they like, provided they choose a different product for each entry or choose the same product, but in a different store.


6. Prizes

• The prizes for the promotion include up to R500 000 worth of Panasonic products.
• Each week during the promotional period up to R100 000 worth of Panasonic products will be awarded as prizes.
• The number of winners for each week will depend on the value of the prizes for each week.
• Panasonic will award prizes from the 2015 product range.
• If Panasonic cannot award the exact same product that a winner has entered the competition for, due to it being out of stock, then Panasonic reserves the right to award another Panasonic item to the winner with specifications and a value as close as possible to the original.
• Prizes cannot be transferred or converted into cash.
• All prizes will be delivered to the winners.


7. How will winners be notified?

• Winners will be notified by telephone during the course of the following week and a confirmation letter will also be sent to the winners by email.
• Prizes will be delivered within 21 working days of a prize winner being notified of winning.
• By entering this competition, Participants give Panasonic South Africa permission to publish their names on Panasonic's Facebook page, on Twitter, radio, press, or print, unless a winner expressly asks Panasonic not to do so.


8. What happens if Panasonic cannot contact a winner or if a winner is not able to take up the prize?

• If Panasonic cannot contact the prize winner within 7 (seven) days after the prize announcement date, Panasonic will award the  prize to the next drawn Participant for that particular week.
• An auditor will oversee the prize allocation process in order to ensure fairness and correctness.


9. General

• Panasonic has the right to end this competition at any time. If this happens, Panasonic will publish a notice on Facebook and all Participants agree to waive (give up) any rights that they may have with regards to this competition and acknowledge that they will have no rights against Panasonic.
• Panasonic reserves the right to change the rules of the competition.
• Panasonic will publish changes to these rules on www.panasonic.com/za/ and Panasonic's Facebook page (www.facebook.com/PanasonicSouthAfrica).
• For convenience only, the date on which these rules were last amended is shown above.
• It is each Participant's responsibility to check the websites for amendments to these rules.
• Participants will not hold Panasonic liable for any technical errors originating from Panasonic, the hosting website (Facebook), network suppliers or other service providers.
• Should any Participant be found to be in contravention of any of these terms and conditions or in the opinion of the Promoters, be engaged in conduct in entering the Promotion which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify such a Participant on written notice.
• Information collected from Participants will be used by the Promoter only and will not in any way be transferred or made available to third parties.
• The clauses in these rules are severable. This means that if any clause in these rules is found to be unlawful, it will be removed and the remaining clauses will still apply.
• Wherever time has been referred to in these rules, it refers to GMT +2.
• These rules and the competition are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa.
• An auditor will oversee the prize allocation process in order to ensure fairness and correctness.
• The judge's decision will remain final. Panasonic will enter into no further correspondence.
