Terms and Conditions

• These terms and conditions apply to the Panasonic “Sasol Solar Challenge” Promotion (“the Promotion”).
• This promotion is run by: Panasonic South Africa Pty LTD.
• Please contact us on (011) 312 7015 (weekdays during office hours 08h00 – 17h00) if you do not understand any part of these terms and conditions or if you have any questions about these terms and conditions or the promotion.
• By entering the promotion, all Participants confirm that they have read and agree to be legally bound by these terms and conditions.
• This Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook.

1. WHEN DOES THE PROMOTION START AND END?

• The promotion period runs from 08h00 on 19 September 2016 until 23h00 on 3 October 2016 (“closing date”).
• Panasonic South Africa reserves the right to change the duration of the promotion, subject to these terms and conditions, if it is deemed necessary due, for instance, to circumstances beyond their control such as acts of God, changes or new interpretations of legislation, or any other unforeseen event.

2. WHO MAY ENTER THE PROMOTION? (WHO QUALIFIES FOR ENTRY INTO THE DRAW?)

• South African citizens, as well as legal foreign nationals in South Africa and Namibian residents with a South African residential address may enter the promotion.
• Entrants must be 18 years or older.

3. WHO MAY NOT ENTER THE PROMOTION?
The following persons may not take part in this promotion.

• Panasonic employees i.e. director(s), member(s), partner(s), employee(s), agencies(s), or consultant(s) relating to this promotion.
• Any supplier of goods and services in connection with this promotion.
• The spouse, life partner, siblings, children, or parents of any of the persons named above.

4. THE TOTAL VALUE OF PRIZES

• Panasonic product prizes with a total value of R100 000.

5. HOW TO ENTER
PARTICIPANTS MAY ENTER THE PROMOTION IN ANY OF THESE 3 WAYS:

1. Entry at the relevant mall activations:
• Go to any of the malls listed below on the corresponding dates.
• Take a picture of your “sunshine moment” in front of the indicated panel of the promotional Panasonic display.
• Share your picture on the Panasonic South Africa Facebook page and tag it as #MoreSunshine.

The Panasonic displays will be at the following shopping centres on these dates:

• 20 Sept – 26 Sept 2016:        Sandton City in Johannesburg (Mr Price Court)
• 27 Sept – 3 Oct 2016:             Gateway Shopping Centre in Umhlanga (Ster Kinekor / Food Court)
• 27 Sept – 3 Oct 2016:             Tyger Valley in Cape Town (Truworths Court)
• 27 Sept – 3 Oct 2016:             Greenacres Shopping Centre in Port Elizabeth (Woolworths Court)

2. Entry on the Sasol Solar Challenge race route:

• View the race route map at http://bit.ly/2amOrAZ to see when the Panasonic Solar Car will be at a stop near you.
• Take a picture of your “sunshine moment” next to the Panasonic Solar Car.
• Share your picture on the Panasonic South Africa Facebook page and tag it as #MoreSunshine.

3.
Private #MoreSunshine selfie entry:
• Take a “sunshine selfie” in the sun that shows you enjoying #MoreSunshine.
• Visit the Panasonic South Africa Facebook page.
• Share your “sunshine selfie” tagged as #MoreSunshine on our Facebook page and include “Go Panasonic!” as your message of support.


6. MAY PARTICIPANTS ENTER MORE THAN ONCE?

• Participants may enter as many times as they like, provided each entry is accompanied by a unique picture. Entries accompanied by pictures that were submitted for an earlier entry will be disqualified.
• Each Participant is allowed to only win once. If a Participant’s name is drawn more than once in the prize draw, the entry/entries subsequent to the original winning entry will be disqualified.

7. HOW THE R100 000 WORTH OF PANASONIC PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED:

• At the end of the promotion a random computerised draw will take place during which all the prizes will be allocated to the winners.
• The winners will be drawn from all entries received on the Panasonic South Africa Facebook page from the start of the promotion at 08h00 on 19 September 2016 up to 23h00 on 3 October 2016.
• The type of Panasonic products awarded as prizes will be random and will be at Panasonic’s sole discretion.
• Panasonic product prizes cannot be transferred or converted into cash.
• Before awarding a prize, Panasonic South Africa reserves the right to request winners’ proof of identity, as well as a delivery address for the purpose of delivering the prize.

9. HOW WILL WINNERS WILL BE NOTIFIED

• All winners will be notified on Facebook via a private message during the course of the month following the day of the closing date.
• Panasonic product prizes will be delivered within 21 working days of a prize winner being notified of winning.
• All winners will be published on Panasonic’s Facebook page and Twitter account.

10. WHAT HAPPENS IF PANASONIC CANNOT CONTACT A WINNER OR IF A WINNER IS NOT ABLE TO TAKE UP THE PRIZE?

• If Panasonic is unable to get a response from a prize winner via the prize winner notification message sent on Facebook within 5 (five) working days, Panasonic will award the prize to the next drawn Participant.

11. GENERAL

• By entering the promotion Participants give permission for their name and surname, as well as their entry photo to be posted onto the Panasonic South Africa Facebook page and Twitter account, and to be used in other public announcements of the winners, as well as in future promotional material, unless a winner expressly asks Panasonic not to do so.
• Entries must be sent in the correct format with the required #MoreSunshine. Entries that are not tagged as #MoreSunshine may be disqualified.
• Panasonic has the right to end this promotion at any time. If this happens, Panasonic will publish a notice on Facebook and all Participants agree to waive (give up) any rights that they may have with regards to this promotion and acknowledge that they will have no rights against Panasonic.
• Panasonic reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of the promotion.
• Panasonic will publish any changes to these terms and conditions on www.panasonic.com/promotions and Panasonic’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/PanasonicSouthAfrica).
• For convenience only, the date on which these terms and conditions were last amended is shown above.
• It is each Participant’s responsibility to check the websites for amendments to these terms and conditions.
• Participants will not hold Panasonic liable for any technical errors originating from Panasonic, the hosting website, Facebook.com or any other service provider.
• Should any Participant be found to be in contravention of any of these terms and conditions or in the opinion of Panasonics, be engaged in conduct in entering the Promotion which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of Panasonic, then Panasonic reserves the right to disqualify such a Participant on written notice.
• Information collected from Participants will be used by Panasonic only and will not in any way be transferred or made available to third parties.
• The clauses in these terms and conditions are severable. This means that if any clause in these terms and conditions is found to be unlawful, it will be removed and the remaining clauses will still apply.
• Wherever time has been referred to in these terms and conditions, it refers to GMT +2.
• These terms and conditions and the promotion are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa.
• An auditor will oversee the prize allocation process in order to ensure fairness and correctness.
• The judge’s decision will remain final. Panasonic will enter into no further correspondence.
