Panasonic Homes & Living, today unveiled the all new high-quality BS Type wiring devices ‘W1 Series’ switches and sockets for the Kenyan market. The W1 Series switches and sockets, which complement the brand’s comprehensive range of innovative solutions for the construction segment, are uniquely designed for commercial and residential use.
Celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, the Japanese electronics giant has expansions and new product launches as key strategies for this year to strengthen their position in the Middle East and Africa market as a leader in the development of diverse electronics technologies and solutions for both B2B and B2C segments. Based on industry reports, Kenya’s construction industry has been growing steadily the past years at a rapid pace and making a substantial contribution to the country’s strong GDP growth figures. The W1 Series switches and sockets boast optimum functionality as the contemporary slim design comes with a screw cap for the installation hole to perfectly fit flush within the wall. The smooth surface design, meanwhile, makes switching on and off easy and even pleasant.

Combining stylish design with maximum safety, Panasonic has built the switches and sockets with flame retardant materials for protection against accidental fire - Urea resin is used for all Front Facia parts and PBT for current carrying parts. This prevents flames from spreading in case of a wiring fire.
Conducting parts made of Brass material and Bimetal Rivets with Silver Flush, ensures Higher Product Durability, Resistance to corrosion and High conductivity.
IP20 Protection is added as a Safety feature to all the products. This ensures users safety during installation when the product is live and it also acts as a guide for screw driver for Faster and Perfect installation.
The event, attended by senior management representatives from PMMAF, also included a product orientation on the full W1 Series switches and sockets.
