
Chilli Con Carne
This Chilli Con Carne recipe is the perfect blend of herbs, spices, beans and beef. Pairing perfectly with rice or corn chips, it's a hearty feed that is sure to satisfy! Requiring only a Panasonic Microwave for cooking, the dish can be frozen, allowing you to scale up the quantities to make a big batch that can last you through the week!
Ingredients
- 1onion finely chopped
- 1clove of garlic crushed
- 1 tsp ofdried chilli flakes or to taste
- 1 tsp ofoil
- 400 gcan chopped tomatoes
- 1 tspsugar
- 150 mlred wine
- 30 mltomato puree
- 500 gfresh beef mince
- 400 gcan can red kidney beans drained
- Salt and pepper
Equipment
- Accessory: base of oven
- Dish: 1.5 litre Pyrex bowl®
Steps
1) Place onion, garlic, chilli and oil in a large glass bowl.
2) Place on the base of the oven and cook on MEDIUM MICROWAVE for 3 mins
3) Place all other ingredients in the glass bowl. Stir well.
4) Cover with lid or pierced cling film and cook on HIGH MICROWAVE for 15-20 mins or until cooked.
