
Madras Curry
In the mood for some Indian food? Make it healthy and fun, by creating your very own spicy (or not) homemade madras. All you need are your ingredients and your Panasonic Combi Microwave!
Ingredients
- 15 mlOil
- 1Large onion sliced
- 3Cloves of garlic
- 2 tspGround coriander
- 0.5 tspChilli powder
- 0.5 tspGround cardamom
- 1 tbspGaram masala
- 1 tbspGround turmeric
- 1 tspGround cumin
- 25 gFlour
- 1 tbspTomato puree
- 450 gCubed shoulder of lamb
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 tspSugar
- 25 gSultanas
- 450 mlHot stock
Equipment
- Dish: 3 litre large casserole dish
- Oven Accessory: base of oven
Steps
1) Place the oil, onion and garlic in the casserole dish. Place on the base of the oven and cook on MEDIUM MICROWAVE for 3 mins.
2) Blend in all the spices and stir in the flour and tomato puree.
3) Add all the other ingredients. Stir well.
4) Cover and cook on CONVECTION 160ºC + MEDIUM MICROWAVE for 1 hour -1hour 30 mins or until the meat is tender. Stir occasionally.
