Rice Cooker Cinnamon Apples

This Cinnamon Apple recipe from Chef Shellie Froidevaux is a perfect treat any time of the year. Serve it hot in winter with porridge, serve it cold in summer with vanilla ice cream, or have it as a healthy breakfast every day with a dollop of yoghurt and some granola.
Ingredients
- 6granny smith apples
- 2 tbspmaple syrup
- 1 tbspbrown sugar
- 1 tbspground cinnamon
- 1 tbspcorn flour
- Yoghurt to serve
- Granola to serve
Steps
1) In a large bowl add the maple syrup, brown sugar, ground cinnamon and corn flour. Stir well to combine.
2) Peel, core and slice the apples into half-moon slices. Add apple to the bowl with cinnamon mixture and mix well, until the apples are evenly coated.
3) Add apple mixture to the inner pan, place in the rice cooker and close the lid.
4) Select the 'Soup/Slow Cook' setting, dial in 1 hour and press start.
5) When cooking is done, divide the cinnamon apples between serving bowls. Serve with yoghurt and granola.
