“Cereal-Flavoured” Nut Drink (Barista-Style)
A creamy, wholesome nut drink made from soaked cashews and slivered almonds, lightly enriched with coconut oil and a pinch of salt. Perfect for coffees, cereals or drinking as is.
Prep time: 5 minutes (+ overnight soaking)
Ingredients

½ cup raw cashews soaked overnight
½ cup slivered almonds soaked overnight
1 tablespoon coconut oil
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Water to cover (approx. 800-900 ml)
Steps
STEP 1
Drain the soaked cashews and almonds. Add them to the jug of the Panasonic Quiet Cooking Blender (MX-HG4401) along with the coconut oil, salt, and vanilla if using. Add water to just under the 1-litre mark.
STEP 2
Turn the knob to the Nut Milk setting and press Start.
STEP 3
Once blending is complete, strain through a nut milk bag or fine sieve if a smoother texture is desired.
STEP 4
Store in the fridge for up to three days. Shake well before using.
