Homemade Soy Drink

Fresh, creamy soy drink made from whole soaked soybeans, gently cooked and blended in stages for a smooth, neutral base you can use for drinking, cooking, or baking.

Ingredients

1 cup dried soybeans soaked overnight in water
Water to cover (approx. 800–900 ml)
Pinch of salt

Steps

STEP 1

Drain and rinse the soaked soybeans. Add them to the jug of the Panasonic Quiet Cooking Blender (MX-HG4401) and cover with fresh water (do not exceed 1-litre mark).

STEP 2

Turn the knob to the Manual setting. Set the temperature to 100°C, blend speed to Medium, and the time to 7 minutes (00:07). Press Start to cook and blend the soybeans.

STEP 3

Once complete, strain the mixture through a nut milk bag or fine sieve to remove pulp.

STEP 4

Return the strained liquid to the blender. Turn the knob to Manual again, set the temperature to 80°C, blend speed to Medium, and the time to 15 minutes (00:15). Press Start.

STEP 5

Add a pinch of salt, allow to cool, and store in the fridge.
