January 12, 2012, Osaka, Japan–Industrial Devices Company, Panasonic Corporation has succeeded in commercializing the surface-mount type “Conductive polymer hybrid aluminum electrolytic-capacitor guaranteed for the heat resistance of 125 ℃”, used in automotive electronic applications as a capacitor for smoothing circuits of power supply, and will start mass production from April , 2012.

In recent years, electronic-controlled devices in automotive electronic applications have been required to be guaranteed to more than 125 ℃. We have been mass-producing conductive polymer hybrid aluminum electrolytic-capacitors which feature low ESR properties (equivalent series resistance) equivalent to conductive polymer capacitors as well as low leakage current properties equivalent to aluminum electrolytic-capacitors. To meet the market demand, Industrial Devices Company, Panasonic Corporation has succeeded in commercializing “the conductive polymer hybrid aluminum electrolytic-capacitor guaranteed for heat resistance of 125 ℃“ used in automotive electronic applications. We will answer our customers' request.

2. Low ESR properties and high ripple current, contributing to downsizing and to reducing the weight of devices
