June 3, 2013, Osaka Japan-Automotive & Industrial Systems Company, Panasonic Corporation has succeeded in commercializing "Fine-wiring electrode film using copper pattern ", suitable for the large display including the digital signage the electronic blackboard and realizing the large-screen touch panel with excellent touch operability as well as high sensitivity.

As touch panels used for the large display typified by the digital signage have been required to be larger and to have better operability as well as improving reproducibility of the high fine visual picture of every scene however inside or outside of a house. The electrode film is one of the main components to decide the properties of a large- screen touch panel. Automotive & Industrial Systems Company, Panasonic Cooperation has succeeded in developing "Fine-wiring electrode film using copper pattern", which is a large screen capacitive-touch panel and featuring the excellent touch operability with high sensitivity.


1. Capacitive-touch panel, realizing the large panel in size

Screen size: 80 inches (first in the industry *1 in copper pattern touch panels)
Screen size of current ITO touch panels: max. around 27 inches
Surface resistance value: 0.5O (approx. 1/100 to 1/300 compared with electrodefilm using ITO or silver)

2.Realizing the touch panel featuring the excellent touch operability with high sensitivity

Voltage deviation: 4 times*2 larger, compared with the same level product as ITO film (actually measured with our original evaluation method)

3.Offering more flexibility design to the large display

*1 Our investigation of the touch panel using copper pattern as of June 3, 2013
*2 Compared with our trial copper pattern electrode-film with 23. 6 inches, adjusted the same sensitivity as ITO film
