Innovative Product: Paper-thin battery
A "Paper Battery", a completely new battery as thin as a sheet of paper was developed in 1979. It had a thinness of 0.8 mm and it was possible to shape it into semicircles, triangles, rectangles, doughnuts, or whatever shape desired.
The battery was just right for small electronic devices that consumed a relatively small amount of power (20 to 30 milliamperes), such as calculators, watches, and cameras. The most noteworthy characteristic of the battery was that it was convenient for product planning, since virtually any desired shape could be selected according to the design and application of the device, thus allowing for a fashionable design.
