Based on his belief that the key to good management is people, Konosuke Matsushita, the founder of Panasonic, consistently pursued management aimed at contributing to the development of society and the well-being of people around the world through the electronics business. His business philosophy consists of fundamental principles: "A company is a public entity of society," "Customer comes first," and "Start anew every day."

In 1969, going beyond the sphere of business management, he established an organization dedicated to corporate citizenship activities with the goal of achieving a harmonious coexistence with society and promoted an extensive number of actions.

His spirit lives on in Panasonic employees in the form of the company's Management Philosophy and is reflected not only in our daily business activities but also in corporate citizenship initiatives.

On September 13, 2011, Panasonic started "Smiling for Sure 2021" as a video-making assistance program for children still in evacuation life after the Great East Japan Earthquake. This program has been created using the know-how of "Kid Witness News," a video-making assistance program that Panasonic has promoted over the years. Its aim is to encourage children in disaster-stricken areas through a video-making project and bring back their smiley faces and enthusiasm. In the program, children make two video messages titled "What I Want to Say" and "Messages for Us in 2021."
