Panasonic Corporation

Our management philosophy at Panasonic is to contribute to the advancement of world culture by working to improve society through our business activities. Sharing the spirit of the Olympic Charter, which aims to achieve world peace through sports, Panasonic has been supporting the Olympic Games as a Worldwide Partner since 1987. Panasonic began supporting the Paralympic Games, which aims to achieve greater inclusivity in society, in 2014.

With the opening of the Paralympic Games just around the corner, the emergency declaration issued by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and 5 other prefectures has been extended until September 12, and a new emergency declaration has been issued for 7 other prefectures. In addition, it has been decided that, in principle, the Paralympic Games will be held without spectators.

In light of this situation, to reduce the risk of transmission of COIVD-19 and ensure the safe and successful completion of the event, we will limit our employees entering relevant facilities only to those who are considered essential to supporting the operation of the Paralympic Games.

As a Worldwide Partner, we will do our part to make sure that the athletes feel safe and secure and can fully demonstrate their abilities, and share their passion and excitement with the world.
