You Inspire Me - Women’s Month

We at Panasonic recognize each woman who contributed to nurturing and strengthening everyone around them during a very unexpected year of difficulties as the world crippled due to the pandemic in 2020.

Women in their every role imparted strength, hope, care and happiness be it about raising a family cooking, cleaning, caring for elderly relatives, shopping for them or when managing projects and teams from a home office, steering a business through challenges of the time. It is the stories of their struggle and hope that matter the most.

Why is it important to share your experience?

While women were already doing most of the world’s unpaid care work prior to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, emerging research suggests that the crisis and its subsequent shutdown response have resulted in a dramatic increase in this burden.

The work each female family member does to maintain everyday life for themselves and their family depends on their economic and social status and personal family situation, but might include raising children, cooking, cleaning, caring for elderly relatives, shopping, household management, as well as mental tasks such as planning schedules and performing emotional labor such as tending family relationships.

We all have that one female figure that we trust and call for in need, she may be your mother because you did not know how to keep yourself sane when your husband and kids were working and studying from home while you were juggling between them and your work. She may be your friend who messaged you every day so that you both don’t lose hope because you are away from your family. She can even be your neighbor whom you never spoke to but she tended to your family because you were hospitalized.

We want to tell the world how they inspired us and are all ears to hear from all the women out there about their hero.
With an aim to share these stories, we are collaborated with inspirational women social media influencers from the region to share about their pillar of strength during the tough time.

While they were spreading smiles and giving tips on how best to spend your time at home to elevate audience spirits, they were going through the same challenges as we are. We want to celebrate the month of March as the ‘Women’s Month’ with #YouInspireMe campaign that aims to spread the strength every woman provides to her family through her own story. Each one of the wonderful women we are collaborating with has one woman who might have helped them through the difficult times. The campaign gives them a platform to share their stories and encourages you to share your own.
