Ventilating Method generally offers stronger airflow, quieter operation, and does not require carbon filter replacement.

Recirculating Method is easier to set up as it doesn’t require drilling holes or fitting a vent.

① Push the filter handle toward the back of the hood and pull downward to remove it.

② Wash the filter in hot water with mild detergent. Avoid bending the mesh.

③ Allow it to dry completely before placing it back. Insert the back tabs first, then push upward to secure it.

The hood should be wider than the hob for optimal suction coverage.

For example, a 74 cm-wide hob is best paired with a 90 cm hood.

For users with the Recirculating Method, it is recommended to replace the charcoal filter every 3 months, or earlier if odours become stronger. Charcoal filters can be ordered through Panasonic Customer Service and replaced by yourself following the instruction manual, or with help from the service team.
