For cream cheese mixture:

  • 260 gCream cheese, softened
  • 55 gSugar
  • 1Egg
  • 1 tbspWater
  • 10 gAll-purpose flour

For cocoa batter:

  • 2Eggs
  • 190 gBrown sugar
  • 1 tspVanilla essence
  • 125 gAll-purpose flour
  • 20 gCocoa powder
  • 1 tspBaking soda
  • 0.5 tspBaking powder
  • 0.25 tspSalt
  • 125 gWater
  • 125 gMilk
  • 125 gOil

Steps

1) For the cream cheese mixture, use a Panasonic hand mixer to beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add the egg, water, and flour, then mix until fully combined. Set aside.

2) For the cocoa batter, whisk the eggs and brown sugar until fluffy. Add the vanilla essence. Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Lastly, pour in the remaining ingredients and whisk slowly until well combined.

3) Grease an 8×8-inch cake tin with oil. Pour half of the cocoa batter into the prepared tin and cover with aluminium foil. Place it in the Panasonic Steam Convection Cubie Oven. Select STEAM HIGH -> 20 MINUTES -> START.

4) Once done, remove the tin from the oven. Pour in the cream cheese mixture and cover with aluminium foil. Place it back in the Panasonic Steam Convection Cubie Oven. Select STEAM HIGH -> 15 MINUTES -> START.

5) Once the second layer is done, remove the tin from the oven. Pour in the remaining cocoa batter and cover with aluminium foil. Place it back in the Panasonic Steam Convection Cubie Oven. Select STEAM HIGH -> 20 MINUTES -> START.

6) Once the third layer is done, remove it from the oven and set it aside to cool completely before slicing.
