This bread made from wholemeal flour provides iron, thiamin, nlacin, as well as fibre to body. The flour's nutty taste and earthy colour pair well with swirls of tasty turkey ham and cheese. Definately a child's pick!

Wholemeal Turkey Ham and Cheese Loaf

Ingredients

Servings:6

Dough

  • 70 gHigh protein flour
  • 185 gWholemeal flour
  • 3 gSalt
  • 40 gBrown Sugar
  • 40 gUnsalted butter
  • 25 gEgg
  • 75 mlMilk
  • 75 mlCold water
  • 1¾ tsp Instant dry yeast

Filling

  • 4 slicesTurkey Ham
  • 4 slicesSliced Cheese
  • 1/2 tsp Mixed dried herbs (to sprinkle on top)

Method

STEP 1

Place all the ingredients for dough, except for yeast, into the bread pan.

STEP 2

Put the bread pan into the main body and instant dry yeast in the yeast dispenser.

STEP 3

Press Menu to select “8” (Stuffed bread).

STEP 4

Select Crust: Light.

STEP 5

Press Start.

STEP 6

Once the beeps sound, remove the dough. Do not press “Stop”.

STEP 7

Roll the dough on a oured surface into a size of 15cm x 25cm.

STEP 8

Lay the cheese on the middle of the dough and position the ham over the cheese.

STEP 9

Roll into a log and cut into two even pieces and place them horizontally in the bread pan. Sprinkle mixed herbs over the top.

STEP 10

Press Start.

STEP 11

When the bread is done, remove the bread pan from the machine and wait for
 2 minutes, then remove the bread from the bread pan and cool it on a wire rack.
