In the study investigating the effects of Panasonic Hair Dryer on the scalp health of hijab-wearing women in Malaysia, its prolonged use led to an increase in hair count, a key quantitative marker of hair health.

For quantitative evaluation, scalp images were taken at baseline, after 4 weeks, and after 8 weeks using a Smart Skin Care microscope (IT Access) near the center of the line connecting the crown and the right ear. All hairs (vellus and terminal) within one-tenth of the image area (3.5 mm × 3.5 mm) were counted, and the total number of hairs in the image area was calculated by multiplying this value by ten. Sensory evaluation was conducted via questionnaire, with hair shedding on each evaluation day (baseline, after 4 weeks, and after 8 weeks) rated on a three-point scale.
