Your refrigerator’s performance and longevity is in your hands
Your refrigerator runs non-stop, 24/7, which puts a lot of strain on its mechanical parts and assembly components. Efficient use and regular maintenance are the key to ensuring optimum performance that will help extend the life of your refrigerator.
ECONAVI Mode - Save energy, save the hassle.
Panasonic refrigerators are equipped with ECONAVI technology that intelligently senses your fridge usage patterns to automatically control operation, ensuring maximum energy saving. This not only contributes to reduced electricity bills, but also lessens the load on your machine thereby helping extend its life in the long run.
Keep coils clean, keep performance lean
The purpose of coils in a refrigerator is to condense the heat generated by the compressor. Dirt or grease build up on the outside reduces the exposure to ambient air that can potentially cause compressor failure. To prevent that from happening, clean the coils and fans once every six months using a microfibre cloth or duster. Don’t forget to switch off your refrigerator before you start the cleaning.
Rid the odour, rid the embarrassment
A bad smelling refrigerator leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Save yourself the embarrassment by using these simple hacks to ensure your fridge always smells pleasant and fresh:
Leave a bowl of oats
Oats are an odour-absorber. Leave them open in a bowl and they will suck out the bad odours in your fridge
Spread coffee grounds
Spread dry coffee grounds flat on a baking sheet in one of the shelves. Bad odours will be gone in a few days.
Use vanilla extract
Still can’t remove the bad smells? Soak a few cotton balls in vanilla extract and leave them inside the fridge. That should do the trick.
Clear your mind, clear the frost.
Blocks of ice left behind in your fridge block cold air from circulating. The more they build up, the more energy your fridge needs to keep the temperature down. Take some time out and defrost your fridge at least twice a year to give it a good clean-up. Follow these simple steps:
Clear your fridge
Remove all your stored items and place them in a cool place
Soften the stubborn ice
Use a hair dryer to melt the edges of the ice blocks
Scrape the ice down
Use a plastic spatula to remove the ice build-up
Clean the fridge
Clean the insides with warm water and baking soda.
